This is the first high-quality yoga mat I’ve purchased in my 10-year yoga journey. I used to buy cheap mats from TJMaxx or Ross, but during the COVID-19 quarantine, I had to practice at home on carpet. This mat is thick enough to prevent sliding and has good grip for balance. It feels sturdy and the foam seems durable. Found it for the best price on Amazon compared to other sites.

I bought this mat for its lightweight and easy availability for studio use and outdoor yoga. However, it is very slippery in down dog, making it unsuitable for Vinyasa, power, or hot yoga. While well-made, I wouldn’t recommend it for those types of yoga. It works fine for yin and restorative yoga or Pilates. I give it 3/5 stars as it serves some purpose for my yin practice, but I advise against it for vigorous yoga styles due to its slipperiness.

The mat is too slippery when slightly sweaty. It is lightweight and stays in place on hardwood floors, but I think it’s overpriced. It may be worth it for longevity, but I’m unsure if I’ll keep it that long.

When it comes to yoga mats, investing in a high-quality one is essential. Cheap mats are toxic, wear out quickly, lose grip, and are generally not durable. I had a Prana mat for 14 years, and the Manduka mat I now have feels just as good and is likely to last a decade. Very satisfied with this purchase.

A very high-quality mat for vinyasa yoga, muscle strengthening… I haven’t been able to slip on it even when sweating heavily. Minus one star because I think they could have at least included the mat straps in the package…
